A quick note before you read:
Don't worry—we're not expecting you to read a theology textbook! The Bible is wonderfully deep, and no brief statement can cover everything it teaches. The statements below summarize the foundational truths that guide our faith, worship, and ministry. We believe they faithfully reflect the teaching of God's Word, and if you ever have questions, we'd love to talk with you.
We Believe
The Bible
We believe that the Holy Scriptures are verbally inspired by God and without error in their original writings. Through the superintendence of the Holy Spirit, God used human authors to communicate His perfect truth. The Scriptures are sufficient, clear, and authoritative for knowing God, understanding salvation, and living a life pleasing to Him.
God
We believe there is one true and living God (Deuteronomy 6:4), the Creator, Sustainer, and Sovereign Ruler of all things. He is eternal, infinite, unchanging, and perfect in holiness, love, justice, mercy, wisdom, power, and truth. God is worthy of all worship, glory, and obedience.
The Trinity
We believe that within the unity of the one God there eternally exist three distinct Persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each Person is fully God, equal in nature, glory, and majesty, yet there is but one God.
Jesus
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God and is fully God and fully man. We believe that he was born of a virgin, lived a completely sinless life, and died on the cross to pay the atonement for our sins. That he rose from the grave, ascended into heaven, and will one day return physically to receive his Church!
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is fully God, the third Person of the Trinity, and is equal in power, glory, and majesty with the Father and the Son. It inspired the writing of Scripture, convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and glorifies Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit regenerates, indwells, seals, sanctifies, comforts, teaches, and empowers every believer for godly living, worship, and service. He unites believers to Christ and to one another in His Church, producing spiritual fruit according to His sovereign will for the building up of the body of Christ.
Humanity
We believe that God created human beings, male and female, in his image for his glory. Every human being possesses inherent dignity and value because each person is created in the image of God for His divine purpose. Though humanity was created to know, love, worship, and obey God, all people are accountable to Him as their Creator and Judge.
Sin
Through Adam’s disobedience, sin entered the world, bringing separation from God and spiritual death. As a result, every person is born with a sinful nature and has personally sinned and therefore has fallen short of God’s glory(Romans 3:23). Because of sin, humanity is unable to restore itself to a right relationship with God and stands under His just judgment. Apart from God's grace, no one can be saved.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is a gift of God, made possible only through the life, death, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. Because all have sinned and are separated from God, no one can earn salvation by good works, religious observances, or personal merit. Salvation is received by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. Those who repent of their sins and place their trust in Christ are forgiven, declared righteous before God, adopted into His family, born again by the Holy Spirit, and given the gift of eternal life. Every believer is called to grow in holiness through the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit, and all glory for salvation belongs to God alone.
Return of Christ
We believe in the personal, visible, glorious, and bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ, who will come again to fulfill His promises, establish His everlasting kingdom in its fullness, and make all things new. The timing of His return is known only to God. Therefore, believers are called to live in faithful obedience, joyful hope, and eager expectation as they await His coming.
Resurrection and Final Judgment
We believe that God has appointed a day when Jesus Christ will judge the living and the dead in perfect righteousness. All people will be bodily raised: those who belong to Christ unto everlasting life in the presence of God, and those who have rejected Him unto everlasting judgment. God's judgment will be just, His mercy will be fully displayed in the redemption of His people, and His glory will be revealed forever.
